The Izhevsk marking is correct for this period. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis is the classic postwar M44 configuration with the permanently attached \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eside-folding cruciform bayonet\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, approximately 20-inch barrel, tangent rear sight, five-round internal magazine and full-length military stock. The rifle retains its folding bayonet assembly and includes a military-style canvas\/leather sling.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe rifle is in \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eused, functional surplus condition\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. Metal surfaces show honest service\/storage wear, finish thinning and patina consistent with a military surplus carbine.
