From what I can make out, the writer discusses his circumstances and movement, including references to France (“Frankreich”), comrades, travel by train, and being away for an extended period. This makes it more historically interesting than an otherwise routine short greeting card. A complete German transcription and translation could potentially add value by establishing exactly where the writer was and what his unit was doing.

Condition is very good for an approximately 86-year-old piece of field correspondence. Letter remains complete and legible with original folds. Envelope has expected handling, edge wear, toning and opening wear but retains strong markings.
