Original military AS-61/ARN-5 aircraft navigation antenna assembly for the ARN-5 Automatic Direction Finder (ADF) system. This low-profile fuselage-mounted sense antenna features the original cast aluminum base with integral mast, black insulating cap, and horizontal whip element. Marked AS-61/ARN-5 on the mounting flange. Used on a variety of WWII and early Cold War U.S. military aircraft equipped with the ARN-5 navigation system. An excellent piece for aircraft restoration, aviation museums, military radio collections, or display alongside airborne communications equipment.

Condition is very good surplus with light storage wear, scattered scratches, and oxidation on the steel antenna element. Appears complete and unmodified with original mounting base intact.
