Original Korean War-era satirical military document titled “Rotation Regulation Number 268-069,” dated 28 May 1951. Produced in the format of an official U.S. Army regulation, this humorous multi-page publication parodies the Army’s overseas rotation system by listing increasingly impossible qualifications required for a soldier to return home.

Among the tongue-in-cheek requirements are possessing multiple broken limbs, numerous Purple Hearts and other decorations, contracting a host of tropical diseases, completing decades of overseas service, or even being deceased. The regulation concludes with the memorable fictional signature:

“By Command of Lt. Gen. Stayand Fight”

and

“Col. O. K. Soonasnotgoohome, Chief of Staff, USAF.”

These unofficial morale pieces were circulated among servicemen during the Korean War to provide comic relief amid long deployments and uncertain rotation schedules. Original examples are significantly scarcer than standard military paperwork and make excellent additions to collections of Korean War memorabilia, military humor, or GI-produced ephemera.

Condition: Good original condition with expected age toning, fold lines, minor edge wear, and staple holes from original assembly. Text remains sharp and fully legible throughout.
