WWII U.S. Navy AM-14/APT High Voltage RF Amplifier
WWII U.S. Navy AM-14/APT High Voltage RF Amplifier / Radar Countermeasure Unit
Original WWII-era AM-14/APT high-voltage amplifier unit, part of the APT-series airborne radar/radio countermeasure equipment. Data plate reads AM-14/APT, with power requirements marked 80/115V, 1 phase, 400–2600 cycles & 24V DC. Front panel is clearly marked Danger High Voltage with filament/plate switches, RF input, tuning controls, power input, meter opening, and output/indicator connections.
This is a desirable piece of WWII electronic warfare / radar jamming equipment, not just standard radio gear. The APT-series equipment was used in military aircraft for radar detection/jamming and countermeasure work. Nice display piece for WWII aviation, Navy, radar, electronic warfare, Signal Corps, or aircraft radio collectors.
Condition shows honest service wear, scratches, paint loss, old paper/covers on connectors, and missing/empty meter opening. Untested and sold strictly as a collectible/restoration unit.
