1878 French Gras Bayonet

Original 19th-Century European sword bayonet, featuring a long single-edged steel blade with a narrow fuller. The bayonet is fitted with a distinctive curved quillon (hooked guard) and brass pommel, with a darkened grip showing honest age and wear. 

Period: Circa 1860s-1880s

Blade: Steel, long narrow profile with aged patina. 

Hilt: Brass pommel with hooked quillon guard.

Construction: Socketed bayonet-style mounting.
