1934 NSDAP Gau Party Day Badge
Original Third Reich-era political tinnie commemorating the NSDAP Gau Party Day (Gauparteitag) held in Aachen-Rote Erde in 1934. Constructed of stamped zinc or pot metal with an integral pinback attachment. The obverse features a large stylized swastika over an oak leaf wreath design with the inscription:
“Gau Parteitag Hitler ist Deutschland”
“Gau Rote Erde Aachen”
“1934”
The reverse retains its original horizontal pin assembly and is maker-marked:
“Tweer & Turck, Lüdenscheid”
Tweer & Turck was a well-known German badge and insignia manufacturer located in Lüdenscheid, a major center of insignia production during the period.
This badge was issued for attendance at the regional NSDAP party gathering in the Gau Rote Erde district and represents an early political event piece from the formative years of the Third Reich. The badge exhibits honest age, oxidation, and surface wear consistent with its age while retaining strong detail and legible markings.
