1935 SA Gruppe Niederrhein Day Badge
1935 SA Gruppe Niederrhein Day Badge
Original German SA (Sturmabteilung) Reich Competition Day Badge commemorating the Reichswettkampftage der SA Gruppe Niederrhein, held from August 28–30, 1935.
This attractive early Third Reich event badge features the SA emblem within an oak leaf wreath at the top, flanked by swastikas, above the event inscription:
“Reichs-Wettkampftage der SA Gruppe Niederrhein 28.–30. Aug. 1935”
The reverse retains its original pinback assembly and exhibits period manufacturing characteristics consistent with event and participant badges produced during the mid-1930s. The badge displays an attractive aged bronze-toned finish with honest wear from age and use.
Badges associated with regional SA sporting competitions and Reich competition events are increasingly sought after by collectors due to their historical significance and limited production compared to more common political badges.
