1936 Olympic Memorabilia Three-Piece Lot-Service Medal, Berlin Visitors Badge, & Rings Brooch

Three-piece collection of German 1936 Olympic memorabilia, offered together as a single lot. Includes a commemorative service medal with ribbon, an enamel Berlin visitor badge, and a rectangular Olympic rings brooch.

The silver-colored commemorative service medal features five Olympic rings above an eagle holding a swastika within a wreath, with the date “1936” divided across the lower face. Its reverse bears the inscription “FÜR VERDIENSTVOLLE MITARBEIT BEI DEN OLYMPISCHEN SPIELEN 1936,” translating to “For meritorious cooperation at the Olympic Games 1936,” above an oak-leaf motif. The medal is suspended from a red ribbon with five narrow white stripes and black edges.

The Berlin visitor badge features an openwork Brandenburg Gate topped by a small quadriga motif, with five interlocking Olympic rings below. Cream-white enamel accents the gate and rings, with clearly readable “1936” and “XI. OLYMPIADE BERLIN” inscriptions. The reverse retains its horizontal pin assembly and stamped maker and registration markings.

The rectangular gold-tone brooch displays raised Olympic rings between black numerals “19” and “36.” Textured decorative borders frame both ends. The reverse has a long horizontal pin and catch, together with a “GES. GESCH.” marking indicating a legally protected design.

All three pieces display handling wear, surface scratches, and varying degrees of toning. The medal retains readable lettering and good overall design detail. The ribbon shows folds and minor edge wear. The visitor badge retains most of its visible enamel, with small marks and discoloration. The rectangular brooch exhibits mottled patina and finish wear on both sides. Pin fittings are present on both badges, although their operation has not been tested.

An appealing display collection for enthusiasts of Olympic history, German sporting memorabilia, and historical medals. Offered as a themed lot, with no documented connection to a single recipient or original owner. Includes the three pieces pictured; no presentation case or paperwork accompanies the lot.
