Original WWII-era German Christmas and New Year greeting card dated December 1940 from Munich. Printed on official Adolf Hitler stationery featuring the Reich eagle and period heading, with the traditional holiday message:

“Herzliche Glückwünsche zum Weihnachtsfest und zum Jahreswechsel”
(
“Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.”)

These cards were distributed during the Second World War to military officers, government officials, party members, and other recipients as seasonal greetings from Hitler’s office. They represent a fascinating piece of wartime correspondence from one of the most significant and controversial periods in world history.

This example displays well, with strong paper quality, crisp printing, and attractive overall presentation. The card retains its original period appearance and would make an excellent addition to a collection of WWII documents, German militaria, political history, or wartime ephemera.

Condition: Very good overall condition with light age-related wear consistent with age. No major damage noted.

Historical Note: Holiday greeting cards bearing Hitler’s name were produced throughout the war years and are highly sought after as original examples of Third Reich-era correspondence and propaganda material.

Dimensions: Approximate postcard/card format.

Inventory Notes: Original 1940-dated example. Signature appears to be the commonly encountered period facsimile style found on many wartime greeting cards.
