Offered is an original 1940 German Narvik commemorative badge (tinnie) celebrating the Battle of Narvik during the Norwegian Campaign of World War II. This attractive die-struck badge incorporates many of the iconic symbols associated with the Narvik campaign, including the national eagle, “NARVIK” title, the date 1940, an edelweiss flower representing the mountain troops, a crossed anchor symbolizing the Kriegsmarine, and an aircraft propeller representing the Luftwaffe.

While inspired by the famous Narvik Shield, this example is a commemorative event badge rather than the official military campaign award. It remains a desirable historical collectible relating to one of Germany’s most significant early World War II campaigns.

Features

  • Original 1940 German commemorative badge
  • Narvik campaign theme
  • Die-struck metal construction
  • Detailed eagle, edelweiss, anchor, and propeller design

This is an excellent addition for collectors of World War II German militaria, campaign memorabilia, or commemorative badges and displays beautifully alongside Narvik-related artifacts.
