Condition & Configuration
This rifle displays the typical characteristics of a Soviet post-war arsenal refurbishment:
- Matching serialized components (arsenal matched)
- Even military finish
- Clean metal surfaces
- Solid hardwood stock
- Clear 1945 Izhevsk markings
Like most imported M44 carbines, this rifle was refurbished and placed into long-term storage before being imported to the United States. The matching numbers appear consistent with arsenal rework practices common to Soviet refurbishment programs.
The rifle presents well with strong overall military character and remains an excellent representative example of the late-war Soviet carbine.
