Classic Philadelphia-built A.H. Fox Sterlingworth 12 gauge side-by-side with original matching two-barrel set. Made by the A.H. Fox Gun Co. of Philadelphia, PA, USA. Both barrel sets carry the matching serial number 99233 to the receiver.

Marked on the barrels “MADE BY A.H. FOX GUN CO. PHILA. PA. U.S.A.” and “STERLINGWORTH FLUID COMPRESSED STEEL.” Solid rib, extractors, double triggers, automatic safety, and the classic Fox boxlock action with border engraving. Checkered walnut pistol-grip stock and splinter forend with original-style hard rubber buttplate. The wood shows nice figure and remaining checkering; metal shows honest field wear with remaining blue on the barrels and an attractive aged patina on the receiver.

This is a true field gun set — the longer tubes for longer shots and the short open barrels for close cover work. Philadelphia-era Sterlingworths are the ones collectors and shooters still seek. Both barrel sets lock up solid and match the gun.
