American Gun Company Side-by-Side 12 Gauge Hammer Shotgun

Vintage American Gun Company side-by-side 12 gauge shotgun with exposed external hammers and double triggers. This is a classic early American sporting shotgun configuration and would make a good wall/display piece, collection filler, or candidate for evaluation by a competent gunsmith before any shooting.

This example is in good used antique condition overall. The barrels appear straight and serviceable externally with no visible dents or major dings noted. Both exposed hammers cock and release as intended. The action, receiver, triggers, and furniture show the expected age-related finish loss, patina, and handling wear.

The walnut stock and forearm retain attractive original-style checkering and show scattered scratches, dings, and finish wear from age and use. There is a small amount of play in the buttstock, which should be disclosed and addressed before firing. Metal surfaces have largely transitioned to an even brown/gray patina with scattered oxidation appropriate for an older field gun.
