Antique Military Rolling Block Rifle – Believed .43 Spanish – Full-Length – Reblued

Antique military-pattern rolling block rifle believed to be chambered in .43 Spanish. Full-length configuration with long barrel, full military-style forearm, barrel bands, sling swivels and adjustable rear sight. The action and overall architecture are consistent with the large-frame military rolling blocks widely used during the late 19th century.

This example has been reblued, with the receiver and barrel retaining a strong dark finish. The wood shows numerous handling marks, dents, scratches and several old markings consistent with age and use. The rifle presents considerably cleaner than many surviving rolling blocks, although the refinish reduces its value to collectors seeking untouched original finish.
