Antique single-shot 12 gauge shotgun of the type commonly known to collectors as a “Zulu” shotgun. These distinctive arms were produced by converting obsolete 19th-century European military muzzleloading rifles into breechloading sporting shotguns. This example retains the characteristic large external hammer, side-mounted breech mechanism, long barrel and military-style full-length wooden stock. The barrel is marked “M 102,” with additional period proof/inspection markings visible near the breech.

The shotgun remains in good antique condition with an attractive, honest aged appearance. Metal surfaces show an even gray/brown patina with expected wear, while the stock retains considerable original character with scattered handling marks, scratches and age-related wear. The unusual breech action and hammer remain intact. A great representative example of the inexpensive military-surplus conversions that became widely associated with the “Zulu” name during the late 19th century.

Antique firearm; mechanical condition and bore have not been independently verified. Sold as a collectible and should be inspected by a qualified gunsmith before firing.
