Belgian Civil Defense L.702 Gas Mask Set with Filter, Carrying Canister & Instructions – Dated 1939

Original pre-World War II Belgian Civil Defense gas mask set, featuring the desirable Type L.702 mask complete with its original metal filter canister, steel carrying canister, shoulder strap, and multilingual instruction booklet. The filter is marked “Controle S.P.G. 1939,” placing this set in the tense period immediately preceding the outbreak of World War II.

The instruction manual is printed in both French and Dutch and references the Belgian civil defense organization. The mask retains its original rubberized facepiece, glass lenses, and adjustable head harness. The filter canister remains attached, and the original metal transport tube is embossed “L.702.”
