The Browning BT-99 has long been regarded as one of the finest dedicated single-barrel trap shotguns ever produced. Built by Miroku in Japan to Browning’s exacting standards, the BT-99 has earned an outstanding reputation for durability, reliability, and exceptional handling on the trap field. Its simple, rugged break-action design has made it a favorite among competitive trap shooters for decades.

This example is a Grade I Browning BT-99 chambered in 12 Gauge with a 32-inch vent rib barrel, 2¾-inch chamber, and Invector Plus Full choke. The shotgun features attractive factory walnut furniture with crisp checkering, a gold-plated trigger, ventilated recoil pad, and the original factory box.

This shotgun remains in excellent overall condition and appears to have seen very little use. The walnut stock and forend retain their original finish with only minimal handling marks, while the metal finish is exceptionally clean. There are a few extremely light surface rust freckles around the chamber where the shell is inserted—likely the result of long-term closet storage rather than field use. These spots are very minor and do not detract from the firearm’s overall appearance or function.
