Offered for sale is a Bulgarian Makarov semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x18mm Makarov, manufactured at the Arsenal factory in Kazanlak, Bulgaria, identifiable by the “Circle 10” arsenal mark on the frame.
The Makarov pistol was adopted throughout the Soviet bloc during the Cold War and became one of the most widely issued military sidearms of the Eastern Bloc. Known for its simple blowback design, reliability, and rugged construction, the Makarov remains a popular military surplus pistol among collectors and shooters alike.
This example features the classic reddish-brown bakelite grip panels with Soviet star emblem, along with the original military style configuration.
