Original WWII U.S. Navy C-53/APX-1 control box for the APX-1 Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) transponder system. Manufactured under U.S. Navy contract and retaining its original data plate with serial number NXsq-27630. The front panel features the original toggle switches for ON/OFF, NORMAL/ROOM, and the central keyed control, all finished in the original wrinkle-black military coating with white legends. This control unit was installed in naval aircraft equipped with the APX-1 IFF system, making it a desirable component for WWII aircraft restoration, radar and communications collections, or museum display.

Condition is very good original surplus with light paint wear, scattered edge chips, and honest storage marks. Controls move freely, and the data plate remains crisp and legible.
