WWII U.S. Army Chinese Combat Command Service Dress Jacket – Staff Sergeant, CBI Theater
WWII U.S. Army Chinese Combat Command Service Dress Jacket – Staff Sergeant, CBI Theater
For sale is an authentic WWII U.S. Army Service Dress Jacket from the China-Burma-India (CBI) Theater, belonging to a Staff Sergeant in the Chinese Combat Command (CCC). This olive drab wool jacket features the CBI Theater patch on the right shoulder—a shield with the U.S. and Chinese Nationalist flags—and the rare CCC patch on the left shoulder, marking its role in training and advising Chinese forces against Japan. The sleeves display three chevrons with a “T” for Technician 5th Grade, indicating the rank of Staff Sergeant with a technical specialty, likely in communications or logistics. The CCC played a vital role in the CBI Theater, supporting Chinese Nationalist troops under Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek during 1944–1945.
In good condition for its age, the jacket shows minor wear, including light stains and fading, but has no significant tears or damage. The patches and chevrons are original and intact, making this a well-preserved piece from a lesser-known but critical theater of WWII. Perfect for collectors of CBI Theater or WWII militaria, or for display as a testament to the U.S. Army’s advisory efforts in the Pacific.
