Civil War–style U.S. Cavalry equipment display set, consisting of a reproduction Model 1860 Light Cavalry Saber, cavalry cartridge box with “US” brass oval plate, and a black leather revolver holster rig with straps. This grouping represents the typical field equipment carried by Union cavalry troopers during the American Civil War (1861–1865).

The Model 1860 cavalry saber features the classic curved steel blade, brass three-branch guard, and wire-wrapped grip that became the standard cavalry sword of the war. The design replaced the earlier heavy Model 1840 saber and remained the most recognizable cavalry sword of the period.

The cavalry cartridge box is constructed of black leather and fitted with the iconic brass “US” oval plate, which was worn suspended from a shoulder belt and used to carry paper cartridges for carbines such as the Spencer, Sharps, or Burnside.

Completing the set is a Civil War–style revolver holster rig, designed to carry percussion revolvers commonly issued to cavalrymen such as the Colt Army Model 1860 or Remington New Model 1858. The heavy leather construction and strap configuration replicate period cavalry gear used on horseback.

These items are modern reproductions, commonly used for historical reenactments, stage props, or military displays. As a set they create an excellent Civil War cavalry display for collectors, reenactors, or historical decor.
