Civil War Dug Relics Display Lot – Buttons, Bullet, Rivets & Camp Artifacts – Saylors Creek, Virginia
Interesting collection of Civil War dug relics reportedly recovered from the Sayler’s (Saylors) Creek battlefield area in Virginia, one of the final major engagements of the American Civil War. The lot includes a variety of excavated military and civilian camp artifacts housed in a display case and identified as “Civil War Dug Saylors Creek Relics.”
Items appear to include a lead bullet, brass and iron buttons, rivets, buckle or harness fragments, saddle or equipment hardware, lead shot, and miscellaneous camp-related relics. All pieces exhibit authentic ground-recovered patina and condition consistent with long-term burial.
A great starter collection for Civil War relic enthusiasts, battlefield artifact collectors, historians, or display purposes.
