Civil War Relic Display – Dug U.S. Belt Plate, Minié Ball & Horseshoe Relics
Civil War relic display featuring several authentic excavated artifacts mounted in a shadowbox-style frame. While the included brass tag identifies the relics as having been dug at Brandy Station, Virginia, that provenance cannot be independently verified and is being sold strictly as an attributed display.
The display includes:
- Excavated U.S. oval belt plate/buckle face (relic condition)
- Dug Civil War Minié ball
- Dug horseshoe
- Brass identification plaque reading “Civil War Relics Dug Brandy Station VA”
- Framed display ready for wall hanging or shelf presentation
Brandy Station, Virginia, was the site of the largest cavalry battle fought on the North American continent and remains one of the most significant Civil War relic-hunting locations. Whether displayed in a military collection, office, museum room, or Civil War-themed space, this grouping presents well and offers strong visual appeal.
Condition:
All items are excavated relics showing age, oxidation, corrosion, and ground recovery wear. The U.S. plate retains recognizable lettering. Minié ball exhibits expected patina. Horseshoe is heavily oxidized. Frame displays well.
Important Note:
The brass plaque attributes the relics to Brandy Station, Virginia; however, this provenance cannot be confirmed and is offered as historical attribution only.
