Original Cold War-era Civil Defense CD V-777-2 Radiation Detection Kit in excellent preserved condition. This kit was issued during the height of the Cold War for monitoring and measuring radiation levels following a potential nuclear attack or radiological emergency.
The set includes the yellow CD V-715 Radiological Survey Meter, CD V-750 Dosimeter Charger, dosimeters, original manuals, carrying strap, and original marked shipping box. The survey meter retains its bright Civil Defense yellow finish and appears exceptionally clean with no evidence of battery leakage or corrosion. The original owner stored the unit without batteries installed, helping preserve the internal components.
These Civil Defense kits were distributed nationwide throughout the 1960s and became iconic symbols of America’s nuclear preparedness efforts. Complete examples with manuals and original box are increasingly difficult to locate.
