Cold War Civil Defense CD V-777-2 Radiation Detection Set Complete w/ CD V-715, CD V-700, Dosimeters & Accessories
Original Cold War-era Civil Defense CD V-777-2 Radiation Detection Set in exceptionally complete condition. This larger set includes the desirable CD V-700 Geiger Counter in addition to the standard survey meter, charger, dosimeters, batteries, headphones, manuals, carrying strap, and original marked storage box.
Designed during the 1960s for fallout shelter monitoring and civil defense preparedness, these kits were distributed nationwide to schools, hospitals, government facilities, and emergency response organizations. The inclusion of the CD V-700 low-level survey meter makes this a much more advanced and harder-to-find setup than the standard CD V-777-1 or V-777-2 kits.
The bright yellow instruments display very well and the set retains numerous original accessories. No battery leakage is evident and the equipment appears to have been carefully stored.
Included:
- CD V-715 High Range Survey Meter
- CD V-700 Geiger Counter / Low Range Survey Meter
- CD V-750 Dosimeter Charger

Historical Significance:
The CD V-700 was among the most important Civil Defense instruments issued during the Cold War because it could detect low levels of radioactive contamination that the standard CD V-715 could not. Complete sets with both meters are highly sought after by Cold War, military, and preparedness collectors.
