Custom .50 Cal “Chunk Gun” – Joe Sivits (New Paris, PA) – Heavy Octagon Barrel – Tiger Maple

Offered is a custom-built Pennsylvania “chunk gun” muzzleloader, crafted in the 1950s–1960s by gunsmith Joe Sivits of New Paris, PA. These heavy-barreled rifles were purpose-built for offhand target shooting (“chunk shooting”), a long-standing Pennsylvania tradition.

This example features a massive octagon barrel measuring nearly 2” across the flats, paired with a beautiful tiger maple stock showing strong figure throughout.
