Custom Auto-Ordnance / Thompson 1911 .45 ACP – Stainless – Wilson Combat Sight

This is an interesting customized Auto-Ordnance 1911-pattern pistol chambered in .45 ACP, built on an older West Hurley, New York Auto-Ordnance frame, serial AOC13522. The West Hurley marking and AOC-prefix make this an earlier Auto-Ordnance production gun rather than one of the current-production Kahr-era pistols.

The pistol has been substantially upgraded from a standard GI-style Auto-Ordnance. Visible features include a stainless/natural-metal finish, Wilson Combat adjustable rear sight, upgraded skeletonized three-hole trigger, extended beavertail grip safety, Commander-style hammer, extended thumb safety, checkered wood grips and an extended magazine well/base arrangement. The slide is marked “AUTO-ORDNANCE CORP / .45 CALIBER AUTOMATIC” with the Thompson trademark.
