7.65mm Browning (.32 ACP) – Solid WWII Collectible!

This is a classic Fabrique Nationale (FN) Herstal Browning Model 1922 semi-automatic pistol, produced in Belgium under German occupation during WWII. It features the desirable Waffenamt / German military/police acceptance markings (visible in the photos along with standard FN proofs). Serial number 177793 appears matching on major parts.

Key Features & Specs:

  Caliber: 7.65mm Browning (.32 ACP)

  Action: Blowback-operated, single-action semi-automatic

Barrel: Approx. 4.5” (extended version vs. the shorter Model 1910)

Capacity: 9 rounds (standard for .32 ACP variant)

Finish: Blued steel with honest wartime patina

  Grips: Checkered walnut (original style)

Markings: “FABRIQUE NATIONALE D’ARMES DE GUERRE HERSTAL BELGIQUE” / “BROWNING’S PATENT DEPOSE” on slide; “MR” Belgian proofs; serial number on frame, slide, and barrel

  Sights: Fixed front and rear

Safeties: Grip safety, thumb safety, magazine safety

The Model 1922 was a popular sidearm for Belgian police/military and was widely used by German forces (often by officers, Luftwaffe, or security units) after the occupation of the FN factory. This example shows the typical extended grip and barrel of the 1922 pattern.

Condition:

Very good original condition for a wartime pistol. Strong markings, decent blue finish with expected patina and light wear, nice checkered walnut grips, and functional appearance. Bore and mechanics should be solid based on the images. All serial numbers appear to match.
