GECO Model 28 .22 LR German Bolt Action Rifle – Gustav Genschow & Co. Berlin

Vintage German GECO Model 28 bolt-action rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Manufactured by Gustav Genschow & Co. A.G., Berlin-Treptow, with the maker information clearly marked on the receiver. Barrel is marked “KAL. 22 LONG RIFLE 5.4mm.” Features a full-length walnut stock, traditional European-style cheekpiece, adjustable rear sight, hooded-style front sight assembly, and classic single-shot bolt-action configuration.

Good used condition for its age with an attractive aged walnut stock showing scattered handling marks, small dings and finish wear. Metal retains a pleasing dark finish with normal age-related wear and patina. Overall a nice example of a prewar-era German sporting/training .22 with considerably more collector character than the typical American utility .22.
