German Adam Shruck München Combination Gun – 16 Gauge / 6.5x58R – Ornately Engraved – Horn Trigger Guard
Offered here is an elegant vintage German combination gun bearing the maker’s name Adam Shruck, München (Munich, Germany). Chambered in 16 gauge over 6.5x58R, this distinctive European sporting arm combines a shotgun barrel and rifled barrel in the traditional German Bockbüchsflinte configuration.
This example is distinguished by beautifully executed receiver engraving featuring detailed game scenes, flowing floral scrollwork, and intricate geometric borders. The engraving extends across the receiver and surrounding metalwork, reflecting the decorative traditions associated with fine German sporting arms.
The rifle features an attractive European-style walnut stock with a pronounced cheekpiece, finely checkered pistol grip, and distinctive animal-horn trigger guard. Its double-trigger arrangement and express-style rear sights further complement its traditional continental sporting configuration.
The metal retains an attractive aged appearance, while the walnut furniture exhibits the handling marks and finish wear expected of a vintage sporting firearm.
Please note: A small crack is present in the buttstock near the cheekpiece, as shown in the accompanying photographs.

Historical & Collector Interest
German combination guns were developed for European sporting traditions in which hunters valued having both shotgun and rifle capabilities in a single firearm.
Many examples were produced or retailed by regional gunmaking houses, particularly in German and Austrian sporting centers. The Munich maker’s marking, detailed engraving, and distinctive stock architecture make this a noteworthy example of that tradition.
A handsome addition to a collection of German sporting arms, vintage combination guns, or traditional European gunsmithing.
