High Standard Model HB .22 LR Semi-Automatic Pistol – Vintage – Wood Grips

Vintage High Standard Model HB semi-automatic pistol chambered in .22 Long Rifle, manufactured by the High Standard Manufacturing Company of New Haven, Connecticut. Serial number 286533.

This classic American target pistol features a long barrel, adjustable rear sight, fixed front sight, blued steel construction, and smooth wooden grips. The Model HB belongs to High Standard’s early series of .22 caliber sporting and target pistols, which became well known for their accuracy, craftsmanship, and reliability.

This example is in used, functional condition with noticeable cosmetic wear. The metal retains much of its dark finish but exhibits scattered light surface pitting and oxidation from improper storage, particularly along the slide and frame. The wooden grips remain solid and display typical handling marks, scratches, and finish wear.

The pistol retains its original-style configuration and presents as a classic vintage High Standard rimfire handgun. A magazine is fitted, although its capacity has not been verified.
