Landstormen Issue – Excellent Antique Condition!

This is a classic Swedish m/1887 Officers Revolver manufactured by Husqvarna Vapenfabrik (based on the Leon Nagant design). Chambered in the 7.5mm Swedish Nagant cartridge (also compatible with 7.5x22mm / 7.5 Swiss loads). These compact double-action revolvers were issued to Swedish officers, NCOs, and later to Landstormen (Territorial/Home Guard) units.

Key Features & Specs:

Caliber: 7.5mm Swedish Nagant (rimmed, black powder / smokeless era cartridge)

  Action: Double-action / single-action revolver, 6-shot cylinder

Barrel: Approx. 4.5” (part round, part octagonal)

  Overall Length: ~9.3”

Weight: Approx. 1.76 lbs (light and handy)

Grips: Checkered walnut with lanyard ring

Finish: Blued with some case colors / straw on hammer & trigger

Markings: “L No 4221 A” (Landstormen Territorial Army issue), Husqvarna proofs, inspector marks (PTB, etc.), matching numbers visible

Sights: Fixed blade front, notch rear

A well-made, reliable sidearm from the late 19th/early 20th century. These revolvers saw long service into WWII-era home guard roles and are now highly collectible antiques.

Condition:

Appears to be in very good to excellent antique condition for its age. Strong bore, tight lockup, crisp action, nice checkering on grips, and attractive patina on the metal. Minor wear consistent with historical use/storage — no major pitting or damage visible. A solid representative example of this scarce Swedish military revolver.

Antique Status: C&R eligible (pre-1899 design / production).
