Inland M1 Carbine – Underwood Barrel 11-42 – Arsenal Rebuild – .30 Carbine
Inland M1 Carbine – Underwood Barrel 11-42 – Arsenal Rebuild – .30 Carbine
Offered for sale is a U.S. M1 Carbine manufactured by Inland Division of General Motors, one of the primary WWII producers. This example shows signs of a post-war arsenal rebuild, making it a solid, correct military piece with mixed components typical of service-updated carbines.
Key Features:
- Manufacturer: Inland Division (GM)
- Model: M1 Carbine
- Caliber: .30 Carbine
- Barrel: Underwood marked – 11-42 dated
- Configuration: Arsenal rebuilt (mixed parts as expected)
Condition:
Overall good used condition with honest military wear. The rifle shows:
- Normal finish wear and handling marks
- Solid wood stock with expected dings and service use wear
- Metal retains a good, even finish with no major issues
The bore and mechanical condition appear typical for a service carbine (recommend standard inspection as always).
Notes on Configuration:
This carbine has been through an arsenal rebuild, which is why it features a mix of parts (Inland receiver with Underwood barrel). This is very common and correct for carbines that remained in service post-WWII.
Unlike untouched originals, these rebuilds were updated for continued military use and are excellent shooters and historically representative service rifles.
