For sale is a very nice Ishapore Enfield rifle chambered in 7.62x51 NATO. This Indian-made military rifle is based on the classic Lee-Enfield pattern but was produced at the Rifle Factory Ishapore in India for the 7.62 NATO cartridge.

This example features the traditional full-length wood military stock, detachable box magazine, rear ladder/aperture sight, protected front sight, bayonet lug, metal nose cap, sling hardware, and smooth Enfield-style bolt action. The receiver is marked R.F.I. / India, with 7.62mm 2A style markings visible, making it a desirable Cold War era military surplus rifle.

Overall, this rifle is in very nice surplus condition. The wood has attractive color and grain with normal military handling marks, small dings, and light scratches. Metal finish presents well with normal age and storage wear. A solid and collectible Ishapore Enfield in the desirable 7.62x51 chambering.
