Italian Fascist Youth Leader knife

Up for sale is a rare knife carried by leaders of the Gioventù Italiana del Littorio (the Italian Youth of the Lictor) or G.I.L., an Italian Fascist youth organization founded in 1937. This organization performed a similar role in Italy as the Hitler Youth did in Germany. This particular example is missing the jewels in the eagle’s eyes, and has a loose wire but looks to be legitimate. It does not appear that fakes of these were made on a large scale. This is an excellent addition to any collection of Fascist-era Italy.
