Vintage J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co. single-barrel 12 gauge shotgun, manufactured in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts. This is a classic American utility shotgun featuring a simple break-action design, exposed hammer, and walnut stock and forearm.

The barrel is marked “Choke Bored – Electro Steel”, a marking commonly encountered on period Stevens sporting shotguns. The firearm retains an attractive aged appearance, with an even gray/brown patina across the receiver and barrel. The checkered pistol-grip wrist and forearm remain well defined.

This example is in good overall used condition for its age. The wood shows scattered scratches, dings, handling marks and other wear consistent with decades of use. Metal surfaces show finish loss, patina and normal age-related wear as pictured. The shotgun appears complete externally and retains its original-style exposed hammer and break-action controls.
