For sale is an authentic WWII U.S. Army Air Corps Service Dress Jacket, belonging to a Sergeant assigned to the 20th Air Force and the European Theater of Operations (ETO) Advanced Base. This olive drab wool jacket features the 20th Air Force patch on the right shoulder—a blue circle with a red “20” and yellow lightning bolt—indicating service with the strategic bombing force known for its B-29 campaigns against Japan. The left shoulder bears the ETO Advanced Base patch, with white stars and a red arrow, signifying logistical support in Europe. The sleeves display three chevrons, indicating the rank of Sergeant, and two service stripes, representing one year of overseas service. A European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal ribbon bar is present, marking service in the ETO.

In good condition for its age, the jacket shows minor wear, including light fading and creasing, but has no significant tears or damage. The patches, chevrons, and ribbon bar are original and intact, making this a well-preserved piece from a key strategic air unit of WWII. Perfect for collectors of Army Air Corps and WWII militaria, especially those interested in the 20th Air Force’s role in the Pacific Theater, or for display as a testament to the logistical efforts that supported the Allied victory in Europe.
