Korean War Era U.S. Army First Army Service Dress Jacket and Trousers – Infantry Captain
Korean War Era U.S. Army First Army Service Dress Jacket and Trousers – Infantry Captain
For sale is an authentic U.S. Army Service Dress Jacket and matching trousers from the Korean War era (1950s), belonging to an Infantry Captain from First Army. This khaki wool uniform set features the First Army patch on the right shoulder—a red circle with a blue “A” on a white background—marking its role in training and mobilizing units for the Korean War, as well as overseeing defense of the northeastern U.S. during the early Cold War. First Army also led major operations in the European Theater during WWII, including the D-Day invasion. The shoulder epaulets display two silver bars, indicating the rank of Captain, and the collar bears crossed rifles, the insignia of the Infantry branch. The interior of the jacket is marked “WILSON,” adding a personal touch to this officer’s uniform.
In good condition for its age, the jacket and trousers show minor wear, including small stains, but have no significant tears or damage. The patch and insignia are original and intact, making this a well-preserved uniform set from an officer who likely played a key role in training troops for the Korean War. Perfect for collectors of Korean War or First Army militaria, or for display as a testament to the leadership of the U.S. Army during the early Cold War.
