Numrich Arms “The Minuteman” .45 Caliber Percussion Kentucky Rifle

This is a Numrich Arms “The Minuteman” .45 caliber percussion muzzleloading rifle, a vintage American-made traditional-style black-powder rifle dating to roughly the late 1960s–1970s period. Contemporary references describe the Minuteman as a Kentucky-style full-stock rifle offered in both flintlock and percussion configurations, with a long octagonal barrel and maple stock. 

This example is the percussion version and is clearly marked “NUMRICH ARMS – THE MINUTE-MAN” on the barrel. It features a full-length wood stock, long octagonal barrel, traditional sidelock percussion action, brass trigger guard, brass furniture and an attractive brass patchbox inlet into the right side of the buttstock. The rifle has a particularly long, slender profile that gives it the classic Pennsylvania/Kentucky rifle appearance.
