Original 1930s German Adolf Hitler Sammelwerk No. 15 Cigarette Card Album Page-Bild Nr. 179, 1935 Nuremberg Rally

Original Third Reich-era collectible photograph from Sammelwerk Nr. 15 “Adolf Hitler,” Bild Nr. 179, Gruppe 64, depicting Adolf Hitler descending the steps at the Zeppelinwiese/Zeppelinfeld during the 1935 Reich Party Rally in Nuremberg. The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum catalogs this same image as Bild No. 179 and describes Hitler walking down the steps of the Zeppelinfeld during Reichsparteitag ceremonies. 

The photograph is mounted inside its original embossed paper/cardboard presentation folder. The cover features a blind-embossed swastika within a circular device and decorative bordering. The interior retains the original black-and-white photographic print, showing Hitler in uniform carrying his cap while surrounded by uniformed officials.

The accompanying text credits the selection and photographic editing of the series to Heinrich Hoffmann, the NSDAP’s official photographer. Other surviving material from Sammelwerk No. 15 confirms that the series was organized into picture groups 62–67 and used photographs selected and prepared under Hoffmann’s direction. 

The Zeppelinwiese/Zeppelinfeld was one of the principal locations used for mass rallies at the Nuremberg Party Rally Grounds. It hosted large staged assemblies of organizations including the Reich Labour Service and other Nazi formations; construction of the monumental Zeppelinfeld complex began during this same 1935–36 period. 

Condition is good for an approximately 90-year-old paper collectible. The outer folder exhibits age toning, discoloration, edge and corner wear, creasing, and general handling. The interior photograph remains quite sharp with strong contrast and considerable detail. The separate descriptive insert is substantially cleaner and remains very legible. This is an interesting original prewar Third Reich photographic collectible, particularly desirable due to the identifiable 1935 Nuremberg Rally subject, original presentation folder, and surviving descriptive insert.
