Original 1932 NSDAP Reichsleitung Employment Rejection Letter
Original 1932 NSDAP Reichsleitung Employment Rejection Letter
Own a remarkable piece of pre-Third Reich history with this original NSDAP (National Socialist German Workers’ Party) Reichsleitung Personnel Department letter, dated August 22, 1932, issued from the party’s national headquarters at Briennerstraße 45, Munich. Produced just five months before Adolf Hitler became Chancellor of Germany, this document represents the Nazi Party during its final months as a political organization before assuming control of the German government.
Typed on official NSDAP Reichsleitung letterhead, the document features the early party emblem, Munich headquarters address, original ink administrative signature, and an authentic purple Reichsleitung office seal. It is addressed to Herr W. Aust of Danzig-Langfuhr and concerns an application for employment with the NSDAP.
In the letter, the Reichsleitung Personnel Department explains that all available positions have already been filled and that numerous earlier applicants remain ahead of the recipient should future vacancies become available. It further notes that the Reich leadership has no authority over hiring decisions within subordinate party organizations and returns the applicant’s submitted materials, listed as 15 enclosed documents.
This correspondence offers a fascinating glimpse into the rapid expansion of the Nazi Party during the summer of 1932, when its bureaucracy was struggling to keep pace with increasing membership and employment requests. Original Reichsleitung documents from the pre-1933 period are considerably less common than later wartime administrative paperwork, making them especially desirable to collectors of original historical documents.
For display, the original letter has been framed with a printed English translation mounted on the reverse, allowing the historical significance and contents of the document to be easily understood while preserving the original German correspondence. The piece is ready for immediate display in a home, office, museum-quality collection, or military history exhibit.
