Original German “Reiterschein” (Riding Certificate) issued in 1939 under the Reich Inspector for Riding and Driving Training (Reichsinspekteur für Reit- und Fahrausbildung).

This certificate was issued to Werner Müller, born July 5, 1916, and records his completion of the required riding examination. The document is individually numbered 75647 and contains handwritten personal information, period signatures, and official entries.

The certificate notes training through the NSRK (Nationalsozialistisches Reiterkorps / National Socialist Riding Corps). The NSRK operated within the SA riding organization and was responsible for pre-military riding and driving instruction. Period records confirm that men seeking the official Reiterschein were required to participate in the NSRK program, making these certificates directly connected with Germany’s pre-war military preparedness and mounted-service training.

Dated 3 February 1939, shortly before the outbreak of World War II. The lower portion bears multiple handwritten signatures/titles, including the printed office of the Reichsinspekteur für Reit- und Fahrausbildung and the rank designation SA-Obergruppenführer.

The document remains in good original condition for its age with expected toning, staining, handling wear, and two punched holes along the left side. Writing remains strong and legible. Currently housed in a protective archival-style sleeve/mount as shown.

A nice original piece of pre-WWII German SA/NSRK equestrian and paramilitary history, particularly desirable as a named and dated certificate rather than an unused form.
