Original 1947 German Berufsbuch (Professional Employment Book)-Named to Willi Kolb
Original 1947 German Berufsbuch (Professional Employment Book)-Named to Willi Kolb
An original German Berufsbuch (Professional Employment Book) issued during the immediate post-World War II Allied Occupation of Germany. This authentic government-issued employment record is named to Willi Kolb and was issued by the Arbeitsamt Betzdorf, Nebenstelle Wissen on October 13, 1947.
The booklet records the owner’s personal information, vocational training, and occupational qualifications. Included are original handwritten entries documenting Willi Kolb’s birth on September 23, 1926, birthplace, nationality, residence, and the completion of a three-year apprenticeship from July 5, 1944, through July 4, 1947. Official labor office stamps, signatures, and classification entries remain clearly visible.
Printed in both German and French, this booklet reflects the administration of the French Occupation Zone in postwar Germany and represents an interesting artifact from the rebuilding of Germany following World War II. These employment books served as official records of vocational qualifications and employment history and are increasingly sought after by collectors of German documents, WWII occupation-era material, genealogy, and Cold War history.
Condition: Very good original condition. Complete with all covers and pages. Light age toning, minor handling wear, and expected signs of use from age. Original handwritten entries, labor office stamp, and signatures remain well preserved. Please review all photographs carefully for the best representation of condition.
A scarce and historically significant piece of postwar German history that would make an excellent addition to any WWII, occupation-era, German document, or historical ephemera collection.
