Original 1951 U.S. Army TM 11-487E Signal Corps Power Equipment Manual Restricted
Original Department of the Army Technical Manual TM 11-487E, titled “Directory of Signal Corps Equipments – Power Equipment,” dated March 1951.
This Cold War-era Signal Corps reference manual covers military power equipment used with U.S. Army communications systems. Government publication records describe TM 11-487E as a 72-page illustrated manual that superseded the WWII-era TM 11-223 and the power-equipment sections of TM 11-487.
A particularly interesting feature of this example is the period security-control history. The title page retains a “RESTRICTED – Security Information” marking, while the covers have later “CONFIDENTIAL – MODIFIED HANDLING AUTHORIZED” stamps and crossed-out security markings. These markings add appeal as an authentic Cold War military-document artifact.
The manual has the original three-hole punched format intended for military binder use. Condition shows expected age toning, handling wear, light creasing, and period ink/stamp markings. Please review photos for exact condition and completeness.
