A desirable original German “Heim Ins Reich” (“Home into the Reich”) enamel lapel badge. These badges were produced in the late 1930s during the Heim Ins Reich campaign, which promoted the incorporation of ethnic German populations outside Germany into the Reich. Today they are collected as significant historical artifacts reflecting one of the era’s major political campaigns.

This example features a black enamel outer ring with the raised inscription “HEIM INS REICH” surrounding a white center with a red swastika. The reverse retains its original horizontal pin-back assembly and is maker marked “K.&Q.”, identifying Klein & Quenzer, one of the best-known and most respected wartime insignia manufacturers. K.&Q.-marked examples are among the more desirable versions for collectors.

The badge displays attractive original enamel with light age-related wear, a nicely toned finish, and an intact pin assembly. Overall, it presents very well and would make an excellent addition to any advanced collection of German political badges or World War II memorabilia.

Condition:

  • Original enamel finish with minor age wear
  • Sharp, well-defined details
  • Reverse maker marked K.&Q.
  • Original pin and catch intact
  • Very good collectible condition
