Original German Maritime Day Commemorative Badge-Maker Marked: Ferd.Wagner
Offered here is an original German commemorative tinnie issued for the Tag der Deutschen Seefahrt (German Maritime Day) held 26–29 August 1937. The badge features an attractive nautical design with a detailed three-masted sailing ship framed by an anchor and topped by an eagle and swastika emblem. Around the perimeter is the inscription:
“Seefahrt ist Not”
“Tag der Deutschen Seefahrt 26–29 August 1937”
The reverse retains its original pin-back assembly and is maker marked “FERD. WAGNER PFORZHEIM 8,” a recognized manufacturer of period German badges and tinnies.
