Original German Hindenburg Cross with Swords (Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer), awarded to frontline combat veterans of the First World War. Instituted in 1934 by President Paul von Hindenburg, this decoration recognized honorable wartime service and became one of the most widely awarded German veteran’s medals.

This example features the crossed swords device indicating front-line combat service and retains its original black, white, and red suspension ribbon. The reverse bears the maker mark “G4”, identifying the medal’s manufacturer.

The obverse displays the dates 1914–1918 within a laurel wreath, while the bronze-finished cross remains well preserved with attractive age patina. The original ribbon remains attached and displays nicely.
