Offered for sale is an original U.S. Military folding entrenching tool (E-Tool) manufactured by Ames and dated 1966. This Vietnam War-era entrenching tool retains its original olive drab finish and comes complete with its original canvas carrier.

The shovel is clearly marked “U.S. AMES 1966” and features the desirable folding design that allowed soldiers to carry it easily in the field. These tools were issued to U.S. Army and Marine Corps personnel throughout the Vietnam era and were used for digging fighting positions, foxholes, drainage trenches, and general field work.

The included canvas carrier retains its original military markings and belt attachment hardware. The carrier shows honest field wear, staining, and age but remains solid and displayable. The shovel locks securely into position and displays well as part of any Vietnam War collection.
