Original WWI Imperial German Prussian “Gott Mits Uns” Belt Buckle w/ Darmstadt Kammer 1917 Leather Tab
Original WWI Imperial German Prussian “Gott Mits Uns” Belt Buckle w/ Darmstadt Kammer 1917 Leather Tab
Original World War I Imperial German enlisted belt buckle featuring the classic “GOTT MIT UNS” motto surrounding the Imperial crown and oak leaf wreath. This steel buckle is the standard Prussian-style pattern worn by Imperial German soldiers during the First World War.
This example retains its original leather attachment tab, which is a major collector feature. The tab is depot marked “H.O.W. Kammer / Darmstadt / 1917,” indicating wartime issue or acceptance through the Darmstadt equipment/clothing depot in 1917.
The buckle shows honest age and field wear, including surface rust, oxidation, and patina throughout. The detail remains visible, and the attached leather tab is intact with clear wartime markings. Untouched examples like this are desirable to collectors, especially when the original dated leather tab remains present.
A solid, original WWI German belt buckle for any Imperial German, First World War, or military equipment collection.
Condition
